6 Wonderful Nomos Glashütte Watches This 2021

Glashütte, a little village set between forests and hills in the eastern Ore Mountains, south of Berlin and near Dresden, is where Nomos calls home. The watches produced here are world-famous, and the watchmakers are among the best in the world. Glashütte has been producing fine timepieces for over 175 years; it has a tradition that is difficult to find anywhere else in the world.

Because watches have been made in Glashütte for many generations, the watchmakers, designers, engineers, and toolmakers here can do things that their peers around would struggle to do. Watches with many distinguishing features are always of the highest quality. Watches that carry a love of handcraft and tradition within them while remaining contemporary: lifetime watches. Here’s a list of wonderful Nomos Glashütte watches.

1.      Nomos Glashütte Tangente Sport Neomatik 42 Date Watch

One of the wonderful Nomos Glashütte watches is Nomos Glashütte Tangente Sport Neomatik 42 Date Watch. Men’s sports watches frequently look exactly like you’d expect a sports watch to look, with a focus on function rather than form. Nomos Tangente Sport Neomatik, which recently received a prestigious Red Dot Design Award, recognizes the need for both form and function in today’s world.

This wonderful timepiece is comfortable, precise, and water-resistant to 1000 feet. The DUW 6101 automatic caliber is used in this minimalist men’s watch. This watch has a power reserve of up to 42 hours and measures 3.6mm in height and 35.2mm in diameter. With its large, open face and sleek bracelet, the Nomos Tangente Sport Neomatik makes an immediate impression.

2.      Nomos Glashütte Club Neomatik Atlantic Watch Ref.741

A blue-black strap, a blue-black dial, and a neon orange seconds hand—this watch adds a touch of elegance to the wrist of sporty types. The automatic caliber DUW 3001 is protected by stainless steel and sapphire crystal glass. The whale engraving on the back stands for “particularly water-resistant” (to 20 atm).

Atlantic Club Neomatik is always stylish and ready for anything. The lack of a transition between the bezel and the case emphasizes the soft, flowing lines of the case and lugs. The crown is small in size, but it is easy to grip and adjust.

3.      Nomos Glashütte Orion Midnight Edition Watch

The Nomos Orion Midnight Edition watches for Timeless integrate Nomos’ distinctively German Bauhaus style with a very cool “midnight” blue dial. The dial comes with either silver or gold-accented hands or markers. Its movement has also been updated to include the Nomos swing system, which is a nice improvement over the previous Alpha movement. The Nomos Orion is a 38mm wide minimalist piece with a seconds subdial at 6 o’clock, and while the standard Nomos Orion has a date window.

The lugs are combined with the thin profile, which is approximately 8.8mm thick. The caliber is a modified version of Nomos Alpha’s standard hand-wound caliber. It has a 43-hour power reserve, tempered blue screws, rhodium-plated movement surfaces with Glashütte ribbing and Nomos perlage, and a ratchet and crown wheel with Glashütte sunburst.

4.      Nomos Limited Edition Orion “100 Years De Stijl” Watch

Nomos Glashütte collaborated with Ace Jewelers, a Dutch retailer. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of one of history’s most influential art movements. De Stijl, which translates as “the style,” was founded in 1917. It was popularized in the early twentieth century by Dutch artists. Such as Piet Mondrian and Gerrit Rietveld as a means of ridding the art world of natural form.

Because watchmaking is an art form, it was only natural for the Ace x Nomos Limited Edition Orion “100 Years De Stijl” to collaborate on a limited-edition timepiece celebrating such a great art movement. The canvas for the 38mm Orion stainless steel case is a white silver-plated dial. With its asymmetric hour markers, the index pays homage to De Stijl.

5.      Nomos Glashütte Lux Weissgold Watch

The Lux is the solitary outlier in Nomos’ lineup. The Lux Weissgold (light blue and white dial) and Lux Weissgold Hell (white dial) versions are available in 18k white gold. The range features a tonneau-style case rendered in 18k white gold and measuring 40.5 x 36 mm. The Lux, with wire lugs and a thickness of only 8.95 mm. Is a very wearable design. The Lux collection is powered by the DUW 2002. An innovative hand-wound caliber developed in-house by Nomos.

The DUW 2002 has twin mainspring barrels. Which provide 84 hours of power reserve to the three-hand movement, which has 23 jewels and runs at 21,600 vph. The DUW 2002 can be seen through Lux’s display case back. Which offers a view of the swan neck fine adjustment and the hand-engraved balance spring, which proclaims “Mit Liebe in Glashütte gefertigt”. Both models come with a Horween Shell Cordovan black leather strap and a solid white gold buckle.

6.      Nomos Tangomat GMT Watch

The Tangomat GMT, like the Tangente, has a classic round case in polished stainless steel. It measures 40mm wide by 11mm high, with lug to lug measurements of 50mm. This implies that the watch fits slightly larger than expected while remaining flat on the wrist. Allowing it to pass for a slim dress watch and fits most wrist sizes.

This Tangomat GMT has a silver creamy dial with a flat sapphire crystal. And a cutout at 9 o’clock displaying the airport city code that corresponds to the time indicated by the hour and minute hands. The local time is displayed in military time (24 hours), with a cutout at 3 o’clock displaying more than the current hour.

The running seconds sub-dial is located at 6 o’clock and is equipped with an effective but thin-blued steel hand. Similar to the hour and minute hands on the main dial. The beautiful movement, NOMOS Xi, which is visible through the sapphire case back is the star of this Tangomat GMT. The decoration features a sunburst pattern and a Glashütte pattern.

Takeaway

Nomos Glashütte watches are well-known for their innovative and patent-protected designs. The brand’s quality criteria and unrivaled knowledge of the luxury watchmaking industry place them among the best. Purchasing a Nomos Glashütte will not be regret because it is truly wonderful.
